The Assmannshäuser Höllenberg is located in the rheingau area and the vines are angled to the south west, what makes it difficult for the grapes to ripen. In the year 2011 the conditions were perfect and produce a big wine:

In the glass it is a light raspberry-red wine.

On the nose there is a beautiful play of different flavors:
Dark red fruit dominate with blackberry, strawberry and cherry and are extended by baking spices, coffee and a touch of herbs.

On the palate this wine is just awesome. Such an enormous smoothness which fills the mouth to the fullest. Fruity on the tongue, which spicy and herbal tones.

The wine is balanced out well with moderate tannins and a refreshing acidity. The finish is medium + and dominated by dark fruits.
