St. Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classe A
Rating: 93
Price: 429€
Tasted in 2015

The bottle was stored well and showed just a bit sediment.
In the glass the Cheval shows ripe pomegranate red.

Notes of ripe plums, ripe raspberries, cherries, tobacco, mint and peaks of sweet pepper. Hints of Mushrooms and roses let you take a walk through the forrest which ends up in a fine structered acidity.

On the palate it is full of berries with a medium body and a silky, smooth structure.

A very complex, still fresh and attractive wine as it shows in its beautiful color. Throughout the years the tannins become so smooth. I think its at the end of its lifecycle and performs at its peak.
